This toolbar provides access to the various tools you can use to create and edit sounds in your piece. You can switch between tools either by clicking on the appropriate tool button, or, when the cursor is over the score view, by typing the key corresponding to this tool. All the operations on sounds are pretty much similar to operations on shapes in a vector-based drawing editor, so you shouldn't be too confused.
