Waveforms define the timbre of a particular sound. By timbre, we mean the characteristics of a sound that make it distinguishable from another sound, but are not correlated to the sound's pitch nor to its intensity. All sounds must have a corresponding waveform to be listenable. The waveform editor lets you select a current waveform that is applied to newly created sounds and can be assigned to selected sounds. The waveform editor also lets you create new waveforms, edit or delete existing waveforms. The current waveform and its name is shown in the top of the waveform editor, while the list below shows all available waveforms.
